Reading the book Mindset by Carol S. for my INQ class I learned the
different mindset we have. Fix mindset and growth mindset the different between
the two I came with the conclusion that we all have a little of both or one of
the mindset work better for us more. The first one is fix mindset belief that
our abilities are set in stone/ unchanging, talent whose hand and hand with
creating success. Growth mindset is another set, belief that you basic
qualities are capable of growth through effort and you have to develop your
traits and skills. Both of the mindset adds up to the 10,000 hour we talked
about in class because it relate to how much effort one puts in. the 10,000
theory is the theory that if a person put that much hours of hard work and
practice you will be an expert in your field of study. Growth mindset is being
able to work hard and putting a lot of effort you will be successful. The theory
would not work for the fix mindset because it doesn’t avoid failure by not
trying at all. And don’t make room for people to improve on the area that need
to. You either have the capability or you don’t. it also have to do with how
you was raise as well. If the people around you always anchorage you to do your
best without giving up when things goes wrong your mindset would change. I think
that I have a fix mindset working my way to a growth mindset. I think that you
have the talent for you to be good at something. I think you are capable to
teach yourself to change your mind set on something’s. I’m teaching myself to
have a growth mindset where I don’t need to avoid failure by not trying. Where when
I’m not good at something i practice to improve at it. There a lot of area that
I need to work in if I want to change my mindset. I’m not saying that I didn’t put
a lot of hard work to where I am today but I need to try harder. I want to try
working harder on the person I want to become
